Dalipe turns over 7 brand new vehicles to SWAT police

Mayor John Dalipe continues to fulfill his commitment to strengthen security and peace and order, as he turns over 7 brand new Hilux vehicles to the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team under the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), Monday, March 25.

ZCPO OIC-City Director Col. Kimberly Molitas together with the SWAT Team accepted the vehicles with profound gratitude saying that the latest package of assistance will significantly increase law enforcement capabilities to ensure safety and security of the Zamboangueños.

Mayor Dalipe said the vehicles form part of his administration’s continuing effort to support and assist the police in their fight against criminality and maintain a secure and safe city for all residents. He thanked the police force for their dedication in safeguarding the city.

The turnover followed the blessing rites presided by Fr. Filmore Calibo after the flag raising ceremony at the City Hall grounds.

The vehicles cost a total of P20.28 million or P2.89M each and were purchased using the 2023 peace and order funds.

Last Monday, March 18, the mayor also turned over 15 brand new CRF motorcycle units to the ZCPO. (Sheila Covarrubias)
